
Mistyann Loetterle
Misty supports UCSF community members in navigating complex challenges they encounter in the workplace. She brings 19 years of leading and implementing recruitment, talent development and diversity initiatives in the UC system, including serving as Chief of Staff for the UCSF Office of Diversity and Outreach, Program Manager for UCSF Office of Academic Affairs, and Career and Leadership Coach for UC Berkeley’s Goldman School of Public Policy. Misty specializes in working with multicultural faculty, staff, students, and trainees on developing creative solutions to solve difficult problems, while maintaining their confidence and leveraging strengths. Misty completed the Foundations of Organizational Ombuds Practice training with the International Ombuds Association in 2016. She is also a Certified Health and Wellness Coach trained in evidence-based practices of coaching psychology that focus on behavior change and transition. She holds a B.A. in Theater Arts Performance from San Francisco State University and is a Master of Psychology candidate at William James College focused on global mental health and integrating cognitive behavioral techniques with leadership coaching strategies. Her multidisciplinary background and unique life experiences allow her to authentically connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
